Odd Markings on Felicity

Hi! I am hoping you all can help me. I recently won a Felicity doll on ebay. She has the strangest marks on the back of her neck. It is behind her right ear. It looks like a signature of some sort. More like an inital signature than a full one. Does anyone know what the Gotz signature looks like. I would take a pic...but it won't show up...it seems that she is an unusual doll...Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!!! [img]graemlins/sun.gif[/img]

Can you scan the side of the dolls head or something. And also her face. would love to see images of her.

I don't think she'd be signed by Gotz (there are Gotz signed dolls on ebay under the Gotz category) and if she was signed by Pleasant she'd be signed on her body.

I have a couple of signed Gotz dolls. They are signed on the stomach or just below the waist on the cloth part of the doll.

I just double checked them and I don't see any kind of marking by the ear as you are seeing. Is it possible that the previous owner marked her dolls?

Take some pics of her neck and head, also body! Then maybe we can figure it out! this is a strange signature though.

I have I'm pretty sure judging from pictures and comparing it to new, a pre-Mattel Felicity that has some markings behind her right ear right below the hairline. It looks like 3 hash marks (like tally marks) with one across and diagonally under this a little bit to the right is like a hyphen and a small e. Does your Felicity have the same thing?

OK. this is getting strange. that is the EXACT mark on Kirsten - and i'm sitting here with Samantha on my lap and SHE has that same mark!!

i bought samantha on ebay last year, from her original owner...she came with a bunch of stuff - outfits, etc. i'd never looked at her neck before though!

i bought kirsten about a month ago off ebay and understood that SHE was older/pre-mattel too.

i'll have to examine molly tonight after the girls go to bed (don't want her to be discovered!).

it DEFINITELY looks like initials to me....

interested to know what we discover!

I just checked my 2 dolls and we have the same markings! Molly's is deeper an more noticeable. My today girl's is lighter and almost hard to see, but definitely same mark! Maybe this happens during the molding process? If anyone knows for sure I'd love to know!!
